Job fairs – Dni Kariery® allows students not only to gain knowledge about currently shaping situation on the labor market but also find out what kind of occupations are most valuable nowadays or take part in workshops and trainings that help to improve our competences.
The event took place on the 5th of March, 2019 at the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz. Apart from looking for a job, Dni Kariery® is also a place for Students Association such as AIESEC – the world’s biggest organization led by young people, which operates in over 120 countries both locally and globally. AIESEC allows to develop leadership skills among students via practical experience in projects supporting international exchange.
Dni Kariery® has been organized for over 26 years and this event is happening in 9 cities in Poland. Amount of attendees and interests in job offers prove that job fairs are really important tool to give youth a possibility for creating current and future career path. Statistics from previous year are definitely positive, during Spring 2018 edition over 42 000 people decided to appear on Dni Kariery® in whole Poland, in Łódź over 2000. According to the report from previous year profile of students were various but the biggest groups came from faculties such as Management, Economics, Finance, Logistics, IT, Marketing or HR. The main power of Dni Kariery® is the fact that this event is organized fully by students and for students which means that it is done by youth who definitely understands needs of their friends.
As for CIMA Ambassador, I am aware that it is crucial to encourage students to take part in events, where they get familiar with the particular organizations’ offers. Such an event is organized at many Universities, including mine. Personally, I believe that my presence on this event helped students to understand how critical getting additional certificates and qualifications is. During the job fairs we could see how many companies acquired CIMA’s accreditation, meaning employers pay attention to posses well qualified workers, which will be a strong assets of a company.
